Stephen "Steve" Gary Wozniak (born August 11, 1950) also known by his nickname "WOZ" is an American electrical engineer, computer programmer, and philanthropist. He co-founded Apple Computer with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne which later became Apple.

Steve Wozniak was born on August 11, 1950 in San Jose, California.^[3] He is the son of Jerry Wozniak and Margaret Kern.^[4] His father was an engineer at Lockheed Martin.^[3] Wozniak is of Polish, German, English and Irish ancestry.^[4] The family emigrated to the United States.^[5][6] He grew up with a strong interest in electronics.
