Let’s start with you – Where are you from?

I’m from Porto, Portugal.

How and when did you pick up water polo?

It all started with my parents.

They were, and still are, big supporters of mine. When I was young they taught me how to swim. By the age of 10, I finished the swimming school in Clube Fluvial Portuense and started playing water polo there.

My first big connection to the water polo world was Rui Moreira who assembled great players during that time.

What were your achievements as a player?

Honestly, I personally was never a very good player.
